Everyday Spirituality




TRUTH, the idea of spirituality can be intimidating af

Am I even doing it right? What if I can't meditate without rolling my eyes, what if I only bought that crystal cos it was shiny but gasp I have no idea what its magical unicorn properties are. What if I love to swear, I can't hold a downward dog to save my life and I LOVE to eat Mcdonalds.


Who's been there?


I know I have! The truth is you are already a SPIRITUAL BEING on a SPIRITUAL JOURNEY. This happened the moment you decided to focus inward & nourish a deeper connection with yourself. (Like when you visited this blog.)


There is no right or wrong way to do this and our journeys are as unique as our fingerprints. I have seen so many people hold themselves back in fear of DOING IT WRONG or NOT KNOWING ENOUGH.


THIS is why I am such an advocate for everyday spirituality, which is truly just the focus of embracing your spiritual self & journey through basic everyday practices and intention.


No silent ashram, 40 days of kundalini yoga or ascended spiritual guru needed. Below is one of my favourite ways to implement everyday spirituality, as I have taken to saying....let it be easy.



Sphere of Protection


This is one of the simplest yet most impactful practices that I personally use and teach to my clients (for my clients reading this, take this as a reminder to jump back in your sphere today)


  1. Take a few deep grounding breaths, slowly in through the nose and out through the mouth.

  2. Close your eyes and bring your attention to just above the crown of your head, as you continue to breathe envision a beautiful golden light like a halo above you. ** If visualization is not easy for you, start to feel into the warmth that this golden light brings.

  3. As you continue to breathe allow this light to start journeying from the crown of your head to the ground, creating a bubble or sphere around you. I like to envision this not too close to me and not too far away (very goldilocks theory) but somewhere in the middle settling where your natural comfort level would be with someone standing to you while in conversation with them.

  4. Once you have this sphere of light around you, use your breathe to fill this space with golden light. Visualize this sphere welcoming in swirls of golden light to surround you OR feel into this space as increases with warmth and comfort, acknowledge that this beautiful space is intended for protection & support.

  5. TADA you are now equipped with a beautiful breathing energetic sphere of protection. YOU ARE RADIANT!


This simple practice can be an absolute game changer if you are an empath or super sensitive to energy. It's like an energetic coat of armour that allows you to keep your high vibration and not take on the energies & emotions of those around you!


Even if you think you don't take on things from others, let's play a little game. Try using this sphere of protection for a few days and see if you find any differences in your mood or energy levels at the end of it!
